Who We Are

 We are the mothers, wives, grandmothers, sister, daughters and granddauthers of American Veterans and Female Veterans fully realizing our responsibility to the Community, State and Nation.  We associate ourselves for the following purposes: To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of American; to safeguard the principles of freedom, liberty and justice for all; to promote the cause of peace and good will among nations, to maintain inviolate the freedom of our country; to preserve the fundamentals of democracy and Americanism, to perpetuate the friendship and associations of the American Veteran and to dedicate ourselves to the cause of mutual assistance...this by the grace of God.

Please accept this as a personal invitation to join our ranks. Just as your Verteran served with honor, so can you. Join us now!

Our activities range from local social functions, to involvement with VA Hospitals, drug and health education, disaster relief, patriotic programs, ecology, athletic programs, scholarship, senior citizens, scouting and much more.

As an Auxiliary to AMVETS, we function in our own right.

  • Elect our own officers
  • Conduct our own meetings
  • We are associated with AMVETS Post 90
  • Our Auxiliary is charged with promoting leadership within the community and activitly directing Department and National Officers and committees

Post, District and Department Meetings are held through out the year


To be eligible for membership in AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary one must be:
• Related to a member of AMVETS.
• Related to a deceased veteran who could have been eligible for membership in AMVETS.
• A female veteran.

The specific relationships are:
Wife.......................................regardless of age
Mother................................. ..regardless of age
Grandmother ..........................regardless of age
Widow....................................regardless of age
Daughter/stepdaughter NOT LESS than 18 years of age
Sister NOT LESS than 18 years of age
Granddaughter NOT LESS than 18 years of age
THE TERM MOTHER shall be construed so as to include any female member of the family, of or any female guardian of such person or deceased veteran who has exercised or is exercising the care and responsibility for the rearing of such person or deceased veteran
Eligibility of a Female Veteran
Eligibility of a female veteran for membership in the Auxiliary can be met in two ways:
• She can be a member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary if she meets the requirements of regular membership set forth above.

• If she cannot meet the regular requirements for membership in AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary or if she chooses to join AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary in her own right as a veteran then she must:

  • Be an AMVET as defined in Article IV, Membership, Section 1 of the AMVETS Constitution.
  • Maintain her AMVETS membership. *
    * Refer to AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Constitution, Article IV Membership & Dues Section I and/or AMVETS Constitution, Article XV Auxiliary, Section 2 [a].

Attend the meeting on April 11, 2016. or you can provide the following to an Amvets Officer or Ladies Auxilary Officer or leave it in an sealed Envelope at the VFW- Attn: Ladies Auxiliary Secretary)

  • Fillout the application which can be downloaded from the menu above.
  • Provide cash or a check made out to AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary

On Feb 13 2016, Post 90 membership approved the establishement of a Post 90 Ladies Auxiliary. State Ladies Auxiliary officers, President Larina Sanders and State Secretary Penelope Goins formally established the Post 90 Auxiliary.

Membership Options

You have two choices:

  • Founding Annual members pay $16.00
  • Founding New Life members pay $240.00

Dues for next year will be set by the founding members.
